Meet the Missionaries

Robert Dovenmuehle
Hi! I’m the pastor of Holy Trinity. Before becoming a pastor, I was a rocket scientist. Going on mission trips, both in the US and to Peru, was transformational in my Christian faith. Since coming to Holy Trinity, I’ve been seeking to provide that experience for my congregation. We’ve taken a large group to West Virginia to serve the poor in Appalachia a couple of times and now is the time to go ‘to the ends of the earth’. Please support this mission to serve the desperately poor children in Peru.

Daryl Nichols
Hi, I'm Daryl Nichols. I'm a fabricator on a NASCAR Sprint Cup team. I'm married to my best friend Laurie. We have a son, 2 daughters, and a wonderful 5 yr old granddaughter. I have been blessed with many things in my life, and I'm going to Peru to help those kids who are less fortunate than us. God is driving me to go on this mission trip and I can't wait to serve the Lord by helping these kids.

Josh Stone
I am Josh and I am going on this trip expecting to see God work in an awesome way.

Sharon Karriker
I am the mother of 3 talented girls whom I have have been blessed to homeschool.  I  have been in children and youth ministries for 15 years and am presently the Director of The Upper Room Ministries.  I am "mom" to anyone who walks through the door.  My heart is to share the love Christ has given me.  I can't wait to go to Peru to serve  the Heaths, ALMA and love on the many orphans there.

Steve Cobb
Hello, My name is Steven. I am the proud father of five children. I have been blessed to have been able to help on mission trips in the past, some of which with my children. I embrace His will and cannot wait to be blessed even more by helping in Peru.

Emilie Harty

I currently work as the Pantry Coordinator for a local nonprofit, the Ada Jenkins Center, helping provide groceries to families in need in the Charlotte and Lake Norman area. I have a Bachelor’s Degree in Family, Youth, and Community Sciences and I am currently attending Appalachian State University’s Master of Social Work program with a concentration in Community and Organizational Practice. I have participated in several non-profit agencies, in both North Carolina and Florida, working with many diverse populations including: inner-city youth and families, the chronically homeless, child and adult survivors of domestic violence, adults who suffer from chemical dependence, and immigrant families. I feel called to not only serve the Lord locally but also globally; showing His love and grace to every nation and assisting brothers and sisters in Christ.

Michelle Cannon
Hello, my name is Michelle and I really enjoy reading, writing, hiking, and consuming lots of coffee. I have my degree in Social Work and have been working with children and families for a few years. I love being able to connect with these individuals and building relationships in the community. The first reason I am going to Peru is to take Matthew 28:19-20 "therefore go" and share the love I have found in knowing and walking with Jesus. I hope to do this through serving the children and community humbly and with an open heart. I also want to be stretched by this trip and have my understanding of God's grace broadened. I may also have a desire to pet a Peruvian llama. :)

Evan Foster
I am beyond excited to serve those less fortunate than myself.  I'm ready to dive into the lives of everyone involved in this project and help in every way possible.  I hope to see the Lord move in this area.
